He graduated from the Academy for theater, film, radio and television. Has starred in over 40 films and numerous theater productions. He was the head of the National Theatre in Belgrade from 21 January 1993 to 10 May 1997. In 1980 he won the "Golden Arena" for the role of Miško in "Ko to tamo peva" and in 2001 award "Paul Vuisić" which is given to the actor for Lifetime Achievement.He also received the  "Golden Chain" award for lifetime achievement in 2012.
