Žika Mitrović

Biography: 

He started his career as a comic strip cartoonist and scriptwriter in the period 1936 - 1941, during the "Golden Age of Serbian comics", when he was still in high school. After the war, Mitrović dealt primarily with film, although he remained a connected to comics. Mitrović belonged to the generation of directors who, immediately after the Second World War, laid the foundations of a professionally organized film production in Serbia and Yugoslavia. He was buried in the Avenue of Honor at the New Cemetery.
